I've been taking a lot of flower photos recently with my macro lens. I love all the fiddly detail in flowers - especially like those in the buds below (the red isn't part of the flower - they are the leaves).
It hasn't been all flowers though: I've been on a leaf binge too!
Again, if I can smoosh the focus a bit across the image I think it creates interest - some bits are in focus, some bits aren't. I took the photograph above with the sun behind the leaf and it has left me with a washed out green which I find quite appealing.
I have no idea what kind of plant this is. It lives in my foyer. The leaves start this burnished coppery colour and slowly tint towards dark green. It requires hardly any water or TLC, which is perfect because I can forget to water it sometimes. I like the texture of the leaves, which feel like squishy sandpaper. Can anyone identify it?
